ESDES Business School
As it is every year, the eagerly awaited 2024 graduation ceremony was held last Saturday, 25th of May. On this occasion, the 2023 classes of the Bachelor in Business, the Master in Management and, for the very first time, the Master of Science, received their diplomas under the admiring eyes of their family and friends.
A ceremony filled with wonderful speeches
Prof. Oliver Artus, Rector of the Catholic University of Lyon, opened the ceremony with emotion, followed by a few speeches. Vincent Mangematin, Dean and Director of Esdes Business School, took the time to congratulate those who will be ‘the actors of social and economic change”. Followed by our program directors, Camille Faure and Sabrina Zaidi-Chtourou, accompanied by the class sponsors, Vivien Garnès, co-founder and co-CEO of Upfluence, a renowned influencer marketing platform and at the same time, sponsor of our dear students and Bachelor, then Emmanuel Arrabien, Vice-President Finance and Treasury at Groupe SEB and sponsor of the Grande Ecole Program class of 2023.
A big thank you to these two sponsors and alumni of Esdes, who continue to bring the Esdessian experience to life beyond the 2, 3 or 5 years of our students' studies!
Nor should we forget Sarah Clifft, Director of the Master of Science program, who graduated the very first year of her program in Circular Economy and Sustainable Innovation.
Well-deserved individual awards
Each graduation ceremony is also an opportunity to highlight some of the students who have distinguished themselves during their time at Esdes: valedictorian, community involvement, best dissertation, etc. Here are the winners of the class of 2023:
- Best community project: Aurélien Clauzel, Mona Boukra, Camille Bourgeois and Dwayne Keicher
- Prize for best dissertation: Clémence Chardon and Emeline Nyzam
- Bachelor in Business class valedictorian: Roche-Dine Fodil
- Valedictorian of the Grande Ecole Program: Phan Hoai Thuong Nguyen
A look back of the day’s celebrations through pictures
Between photos and a few “petits fours”, the guests were also able to enjoy the show put on by Showbise, the music group created by Esdes students.
Dear graduates of the class of 2023, we would like to congratulate you once again and wish you a lot of success. And as Sabrina Zaidi-Chtourou, Director of the Bachelor in Business program, said: ‘Don't forget, you have the power to change the world!
