The students in the Master of Science Circular Economy and Sustainable Innovation at Esdes had the opportunity to become the leaders of tomorrow by revealing their sense of entrepreneurship and ecological and social transition during the second part of our Start-up Simulation Day.
A challenge facing a professional jury
Sarah Clifft (Director of the MSc programs), Rosalie Douyon (Entrepreneurship subject), Natahlie Bertin Boussu (Director of the Ecological and Social Transition), Daniel Suissa, Ben Farley (MSc alumni) and Olivier Amourous (Esdes Alumni) were able to come and judge the three pitches of the students presenting sustainable initiatives.
On Thursday 30th of May, students from the MSc in Circular Economy and Sustainable Innovation Program had the opportunity to present their start-up ideas. The aim was to present their projects to the jury and then offer them a certain amount of investment.
Green and innovating projects
Carefully guided by Sarah Clifft, Rosalie Douyon and Sylvain Verron Pequignot, the students were able to apply the various concepts from their courses to come up with a successful entrepreneurial innovation.
Amongst the three ideas, Green Journeys was the winner. Monymakthukrath Chuon, Rebekka Nduuviteko Hidulika, Arjun Poudel, Huy Manh Nguyen won the jury’s heart with their idea of developing packs that prioritise sustainable tourism ! An ambitious and appealing project that won everyone over !
The Refeel team proposed a rental service for reusable cups for take away drinks, followed by the VECHAI Venture team with their idea to transform the waste ecosystem in Vietnam.
This second part of the first edition of the Start-Up Simulation Day brought together the students, to present their projects, and the jury. It was a unique opportunity during their learning path, to put into practice all the skills they had acquired over the year and to link them to a sustainable and responsible commitment! It was a great afternoon for everyone.
