We are ESDES
Feedback from professors, students, alumni
Anne-Sophie Caistiker
ALUMNI ESDES 2013
From her time at ESDES, Anne-Sophie remembers… a sense of values and the ability to innovate. The passion transmitted by the teachers, as well as the groupwork, have forged a solid entrepreneurial culture.
Lucas Patricot
Cofounder of Faume (alumni 2012)
I co-created Faume in 2020, allowing big fashion brands that we all love to propose a “second-hand” service. Faume takes care of all the operational complexity of the refurbishing supply chain in order to give brands the possibility to communicate on their offer. In one year, more than 20 brands have joined us. By 2022, the company will accelerate its international development. For us, the circular economy is a pillar of green growth.
Louis Bonduelle
ESDES Alumni 2014
From his time at ESDES, Louis remembers … Memories from abroad, friends of course, but also a solid background of varied skills, all of which are necessary in the day-to-day running of his company. Being able to talk to a lawyer, a salesman, a banker, a marketing manager etc. are major assets when you are developing a company. Without necessarily being an expert, you have to be able to make yourself understood, make certain decisions and evaluate results.
Sandra
FORMER VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE SHOWBISE ASSOCIATION
Getting involved in ESDES’ associations is such an enriching and powerful experience. Students come together around a shared passion or cause and create beautiful projects. But describing it doesn’t do it justice – it’s just an incredible adventure… you have to go for it!
Clément Barioz
Master student – Creator of Le Local Piscine
Wastes are a business on any markets where there are still wastes. Intern in a shop specialized in swimming pool materials, I just realized the opportunity to reuse, remake and renew the full range of swimming pool robots and motorized tools. We created L Local Piscine in 2020, with over 200% of growth we are convinced that the second-hand market will emerge as a natural way to equip personal pools. Circular economy is the key on both economic and ecological issues.
Jérémy Compagnat
ALUMNI ESDES 2008
“During my 5 wonderful years at ESDES I was able to develop work methods, a way of prioritizing and summarizing things and the drive to always strive for more”
Adev Materials
Pascal Nadobny, President
The principles of circular economy, ecological and energetic transition are part of our company’s DNA, true pillars of our CSR policy, at the heart of our strategy. Also, our entrepreneurial project of responsible growth and our field of actions seems to be in perfect adequacy with the MSc program proposed by ESDES.
All companies are concerned by these sustainability challenges that have been imposed, sometimes with strong standards and regulatory requirements. In fact, they will all inevitably be led to seek expert talents on these topics, probably leading to high employability of profiles from this training.
Yann Metz
ESDES Alumni 2011
From his time at ESDES, Yann remembers…
Huge gratitude towards his finance teacher who helped him successfully complete his CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification during his final year at ESDES. He also remembers the experiences abroad (UK, India, USA) and of course his experience as Vice-President of the BDE Rythm’X association.
PhD Ashkan FARAMARZI
PhD in Marketing
We are trying to basically prove why the information and make the students familiar with the international business is really important for the future of these students. Maybe, they are going to work in international companies or they are interested in being entrepreneur and basically doing business with other countries. So, this would be like the basic and the first step for them. There are a lot of potential and opportunities especially because of the current situation of the world, with the inflation and everything after post-covid. And a lot of markets, for example what I’m speaking about, emerging markets, they have opportunities for growth and for doing business which would be very important for the future of Europe if they want to basically avoid any sort of stagnation and recession.
